All things come with practice... A friend of mine (male) had to wear them in a play one year and when he first tried them he looked like the typical male in heels stumbling all over the place...
He wore them at home for weeks to practice and really got the hang of it by the time the play went on....
Of course, we never let him live it down.... ;-)

Practice makes perfect! You have plently of time to time to learn. Start by getting a pair of heels that actually fit well then start walking around the house. Once you feel comfortable in the house, go out somewhere like the groccery store. The only way you'll get the hang of them is actually wearing them and walking around in them.

So you want to learn how to walk in heals without looking like an idiot???
well the best way to learn is to buy a small pair of heals and practice walking on them. practice until you are bored of them and then get a higher pair.
Kepp working your way up untill you find the pair of heals that you like. Then get used to them and wear them as much or as little as you like!!!
This way you will not look like an idiot!!!!
I had the same problem so dont worry-you are not alone!!!
i wore my highest pair of heals out so badly that the heal actually came off!!!
i hope that this helps!!
Good luck!!! keep smiling :)

Yes, plenty of time.
You do want to wear them as much as possible around the house, but they are harder to walk in on carpet.
Before puting on the heels, try standing up on your toes, locking your ankles and see how long you can keep from wobbling.
Next, put on the heels and try them on the kitchen floor, or hardwood if you have it. If no flat floor, try the sidewalk. Walk slow!
Start with smaller heels then graduate to the size you will wear in December.
My modeling teacher told me to pretend that I had a string running through my body and up out of the top of my head. Next pretend someones pulling up on it. Stand real tall, keep your ankles still and go. You'll get the hang of it. Don't let yourself get frustrated. It just takes practice!

Get a pair of mid-heel shoes and wear them around the house. If you practice for awhile it will be like second nature!
Enjoy!

Wear them all the time in your house. Do housework in them. The more time you get used to it, the better.
