Your children will be paying it. Iraq alone costs us -- beside American and iraqi lives -- two billion dollars a month, or is that a week? Maybe it's before breakfast. For one, I'm delighted that the Republican Party stands for fiscal responsibility and small government. And if you're of age and don't vote, you shouldn't bother voicing an opinion.

When I vote next Tuesday, even though it may be easy to remember the Iraq war, the Katrina fiasco, the messed up energy policy, and the botched war on terror, I will also remember how a democratic party stood by and didnt have the courage to hold the administration and other republicans accountable for their policies. It is easy for me to vote democratic because republicans in the Chicago area are essentially castrated. But there needs to be a change in the course.

Taxes are only a good idea when they are obtained equitably AND when the funds are distributed correctly. Giving ANY money to people that are not legally entitled is the perfect way to bankrupt our entire system. So, when you vote, vote for the candidates that advocate responsibility and hold them to it. We, in a real sense, ARE the government. We just elect representatives to handle all that dirty work about making sure things get done. So, if we elect a representative, we can certainly un-elect them. At any time.

With all the mistakes made by all those self-serving SOB's in Washington you don't have to remember just one thing. All they have accomplished is nothing and should be replaced. The only problem is finding an honest person who is running for office these days. Number one, I will vote for any one other then an attorney. Think over half of Congress are attorney's and look at the mess they have gotten us into.

I know of no one - from the President down to my local Mayor who is behaving in a responsible way as regards to public funds. They are not using it wisely and they are doing everything they can do to avoid giving a public accounting of the real costs of programs and proposals. Therefore, I plan to vote against anyone who is currently in office. In any contest not involving an incumbent I am voting for the candidate with the poorest funding.

I don't understand why everybody thought it was such a great idea for Bush to give everybody a tax break while trying to fund a war. Where is he stealing the money from? It has to come from somewhere. We're going to end up paying for those tax "breaks" in the end.
I'll remember the deficit

Whats wrong with the deficit. Take a look at history, not just the numbers, but on a percent basis.

Um... isn't it the republicans running up that outrageous bill? Frankly, I wish there were a moderate candidate from which to choose. I do not agree with the extremists on either side.

I already voted, and it was part of my thinking.

I don't wanna be stuck paying off the debt from it when I'm 50.
