looking around the world today, it happens everywhere. Everything is spilt into groups of some kind for some reason, mostly petty and childish reasons at that. Some cause war, some cause crime, some cause bullying, all nasty things on different scales.
Personally I hate it, but it happens. My friend was hospitalised and has three metal plates in his face because of his taste in music. That's just pathetic, so no, I dont think its ok.

noooooo nooooo noooo no no no no no and anyone that thinks it's okay to judge one by the cover probably judges books by the cover too. Such fools are the ones that accuse people of things without even getting to know the person. Some of such judgers get people put in groups they don't belong in and if they say they don't belong in the group they say either he/she's not with it or is in denial!
Judging by looks is terribly wrong.. I think God errored. God should've made such Judging a Sin!

stereotyping is not good and not ok.
a little saying my father told me when I was younger...
Don't judge a book by its cover...the plain bound ones are usually the most interesting.
just because someone belongs to a certain group, or a certain age, colour, religion or anything else does not make them all the same....each and every person is an individual and have different thoughts, ideals, values no matter where they come from or to which group they belong.

Not really. Mentally, stereotypes have a purpose for our brain to easily classify and remember things, but outwardly stereotyping people is more or less not good.

I think it is really bad to label and classify people especially if you don't really know them well. Some people can come across one way and not really be that way at all. Do you want people to do that to you?

No. Once you start to either label or catagorize a person you have eliminated any chance for you to know this person. You set preconceived ideas based upon your labeling and you will never get to know how that person thinks or feels.

Yes, if you want to live life with views you developed at some point to go completely unchallenged from here on in. No, if you don't.

well people should avoid it... But it only takes 10 seconds to judge someone... But this judgement is not always right.

Think of it this way. Would you like to be classified by your looks or how you dress?
