What a great show. Unlike alot of great t.v. shows most of the cast went on to big success with only a few not going onto better things. For the most part all of the cast seems to be doing well and have survived through great ordeals in life. I don't necessarily want to name names as to the ones that have had a rough going because the ones on this show have all survived except Kaufmann. It was always a show I looked forward to seeing. Wasn't DeVito a little pr__k?

Taxi was quite funny....strange how the main actor Alex (played by Judd Hirsch) never really achieved the heights as some of his co-stars....Danny DeVito, Christopher Lloyd etc..

Very well done show, though it started to fade in later years. I remember very well the first time we saw Danny DeVito outside the cage. No one (in the audience) realized how short he was/is, & seeing him bound down the steps was so funny.
One of the all time classics, IMHO...

Yeah, that was a great show with a very talented cast. Andy Koffman, Christopher Loyd were especially hilarious. Far better written than the sitcoms today in my opinion, which is why I seldom watch TV anymore. Taxi ranks in my top sitcoms of all time.

Yes. Funny. Did you have the slightest idea how successful Devito would become?

I still watch it. It usually comes on Saturday afternoons here in the Bay Area. My favorite one was when they took Rev. Jim to get his driver's license and he asked Bobby what does a yellow light mean. Bobby said slow down. So he said "Whhhaaattt dddoooeeesss aaaa yellllllooooww llliggghttt mmeeaann?"

I loved that show and still catch re-runs once in awhile. I didn't like Jeff Conway very much. Heard he has been in personal trouble and I am not surprised. I loved Judd Hirsch.

Had one of the best mix of ensemble actors out there, still can't beat Andy Griffith though as far as classic comedy shows.
