Be happy! My neighbor's baby did not wlakuntil she was 18 months old. Can you imagine how worried she was?!
My son started at 10 1/2 months. I have never heard of a 7 month old before but then again every baby is different. She will probably has great gross motor skills and by all means encourage her to continue developing them. Congrats!

Every baby is different. My daughter started walking around 10 months, which is also considered early. She is 16 months now and the doctor commented that she is very well-coordinated for her age, as far as walking goes. She is also talking (before 2, which is pretty rare) So as far as your daughter goes, I say that she's just smart and knows what to do. She'll be getting into things in no time!

It's early but nothing to be concerned about. My daughter was walking at 10 1/2 months but every baby starts when they're ready.

It's normal whenever she's ready to do it. My son was just over a year old when he took his first steps and started running a few days later, but he was only two months old when he started trying to sit up. My great-grandnephew started walking at ten months. Depends on the baby. Whatever the age I can almost guarantee you aren't ready for it.

I walked at 7 months. Babies have their own timeline. It's early, but if she's doing it on her own, it's not TOO early.
Some numbnut wrote that not learning to crawl/walking early is connected to learning disabilities. I guess that's why I was an Honors student in high school with a 1420 SAT score and graduated with honors and a double major. Please cite your source when you're going to make a sweeping generalization like that. In fact, early walking, in conjuction with other attributes, can often signify giftedness.
The only problem is when a baby is FORCED to do something early on. Then the baby will often rebel, and refuse to comply with the parents' wishes.

I started walking at 7 months. It just depends on the baby. I've heard of some as young as 6 months. There's nothing to worry aoubt, actually, you should be proud.

Baby development is similar to puberty. Some girls started getting boobs at 9 or 10 years old, some didn't get them 'til 14. It's not that either is right or wrong, just how people develop.
Is it normal? I wouldn't say there is a normal, just what is the pace at which your baby develops.

Congratulations! That just means that you have an exceptional baby! The average is from 10 months to 18 months. These are just averages, some babies walk as early as yours, some take longer than 2 years. Its as individual as the babies themselves.
