I currently use an electric foil razor morning and nght before bed.

My daily routine is the following;

Shave
Shower, dry off
Use Clearasil cleansing pads, leave to dry in for 10 mins
Moisturise using L'oreal men Expert with hint of self tan

I do this in the morning and at night however my skin seems to go red and blotchy and devlopes white headed spots as the day progresses, I known I probably have combination skin as I'm either very dry or very oily later in the day. I have dry patches around my chin area.

Can anyone help me out here, I drink plenty of water and eat a fairly balanced diet. All I want is clear skin and no irritation or shiny skin. I do work out at the gym 3 times a week though I do use clearasil afterwards to make sure I have no dirt from sweat in my pores.

You maybe over exfoliating with the shaving at night, and the treatments that you are giving yourself. Why do you shave at night before you go to bed? Just shave in the morning. Try a moisturizer that is hypoallergenic -- unscented lotions.
Do you have problem skin anyway? If you don't have an issue of problem skin, I wouldn't be using the Clearasil.
There is a product by netrogena that is for exfoliating and moisturizing and wouldn't be so harsh to you skin. They also make face washing towlets that are not has harsh as Clearasil -- oil of olay makes them, and if you go to Walgreen's and look in the area of face care you'll find even more.

It sounds like you are overdoing the skin care to your face. All skin care and cosmetic products are just a cocktail of chemicals which can harm if used to excess.
As for using Clearasil after exercise you are wasting your time and money. The very act of sweating cleans out the pores and all you are doing is putting stuff back into them.
Shaving twice a day is unnecessary apart from exceptions such as going out somewhere special in the evening. Do you electric shave or shave with a razor?
A razor scrapes off a layer of skin which is not good.
Best action is to wash in warm water and if you must use soap use unperfumed Simple Soap, available from Salisbury's. Pat your face dry and don't scrub it with a towel. Dilute the aftershave as this causes skin irritation and you might find an improvement. The whitehead spots are your body defences going to the place where an invading chemical is gaining entry into your face via the pores.

Firstly you are better off shaving after you shower - skin in softer and warmer as well as open pores so your not irritating your skin. The pads things are not necessary. Use a good make of scrub on the days you do not shave and mosturiser of the same product. clinique for men is good as is the body shop stuff. Also for good skin you need to be cleaning your face at night too.....

You are over doing it. Nivea face scrub work well, then shaving, apply Nivea for oily skin. Clearasil has alcohol which can dry out your skin. Anything that contains alcohol could be flair up your skin.

Electric razor is fine as long as its clean.
Maybe should stop moisturiser if you are not staying in cold country because it may clog the skin.
