You can order a liquid ring guard .... love this stuff....
It goes on like a silicone caulk, in a thin strip on the inside of your ring band. Let it dry, and you are a size or two smaller. It won't harm your ring, and it comes off when you are ready to resize.

The best thing to do is get them resized. It doesn't take THAT long, and you can be without it for a few days. Otherwise, you might just lose the ring someday, and have no clue where you lost it. For your own sanity, get it resized. Call around to the different jewelry stores in your area to find the quickest one.

I'm not sure where to buy them, but i have seen these little plastic things you put on your rings to make them fit. It'll make the ring go up a size or two. They look like little soft beads and they just wrap on the ring. You also might want to ask your local jeweler and see if they have something you can buy and do your self, so you're not with out your rings. They might even be able to do a quick resizing while you wait. Just call around and see who might be able to help you. Congratulations on loosing the weight too! :)

Wrap clear, light fishing line around the bottom of the ring. Probably around 10 pound test line. It is light, cheap and clear so it is almost invisible. This works as you can add or remove line to adjust it. Especially if your weight is fluctuating. You don't want to resize the ring and then resize again soon after.

Get 1 ft. long piece of strong thread. Put one end through the ring and pull it back toward the arm a couple of inches, Now take the other end with ten inches and wrap it around the finger in front of the ring. Make tight circles until you run out of thread. Now start unwinding the thread from the other end the short end behind the ring. It will push the ring right off your finger. The thread holds your swollen skin down so that the ring can move over the swollen area. Good luck.

At the jewelry store you can get these add ons that help when a ring is too big. Just discuss it with the jeweler they understand that you dont want to be without it. They may be able to do it in a matter of couple hours while you shop or something like that.

Uhmmmm... i've had a problem similar to this before. you wear a smaller ring under that ring and it should stay... like wear a ring that fits and put your wedding ring over it... if that dont work...getting resized is what you need to do... you went years without it before you met that man... you can go without it a few days to improve it...

Some jewelry stores carry little sizing things that can be put on the inside of the ring to keep it from sliding off - you can also melt a little bit of wax on the inside bottom to make it tighter - of course, take it off when you do this!

It doesn't take that long to get rings re-sized if you take them to a jeweler, and not the jewelry store. My jeweler does it in a couple of hours.
In the meantime, try wrapping string around the underside of the band (the part that faces your palm.) Or buy a ring guard to put in the band.
