regardless of if this is in basic terms caught no longer hassle-free like a brick, disintegrate, hit, do what it takes to interrupt some off, get approximately how plenty you will % on the 2d, and put in a dish and microwave for about 15 seconds, shop repeating until gentle. Use it good away it is going to reharden. Any spots taht look darker very practically moist, I in basic terms toss those, even nonetheless they might soften additionally. I in basic terms did this for the 1st time the different night and it worked fantastic!

if sugar hardens i would throw it out. you will not have the same results baking with it as you would good sugar. in some things it isnt noticable, but others, you will wonder what went wrong.

anyway, if you want to save it, stick a large knife into the center and then several other places until the whole thing breaks into chunks. then you can break it up more if need be

if you try to soften it again, be careful what you put in with it as the flavors could transfer a bit.

I agree with Caroline, however, if you microwave it, only microwave the amount you are going to use as regular sugar will harder back even worse once it is totally cooled. Brown sugar on the other hand will stay soft longer due to the molasses content.
