After having my son a few years ago I got far out of the fashion world. I used to really take pride in my style and I stayed up to date on the trends but lost it when I was a stay at home mom. Now my son is older and I'm working again so I need help getting back in style and not wearing stuff from a few years ago. Does anyone know a good website that has easy to understand trends and help with style? I don’t need a site that shows the latest runway shows because that's not something I can wear. I am still a mommy and I'm 25 so I need something not to pricey but still a little youthful. I'm in the middle between looking like the College Chicks and the Working Moms so it's hard to get the right fashion help. So anyways if you have and ideas or know of good sites to look at I would appreciate it. Thanks everyone!

they show the stuff that celebs are wearing..and what's popular today..the stuff is normally pricey, but you don't have to purchase the stuff..it just gives you real good examples of what's hot today. You can always find similar stuff cheaper at the mall...

HELP IS HERE! What a fun time for you. And you are very fortunate that today's style is so versatile that ANYONE--no matter what their age--can be fashionable and trendy!

My first suggestion is to start picking up some reputable style magazines. InStyle, Lucky and Shop Etc. are very trusty and feature fashions that are more directed toward 25 to 45 year-old women. (you can even look at these for FREE at the local library).

Next, start subscribing to some FREE clothing catalogs. Many websites will send you a catalog in the mail if you sign up online. I would suggest:

www.newport-news.com
www.lernercatalog.com
www.laredoute.com
www.chadwicks.com
www.jcrew.com

www.brooksbrothers.com
www.carabella.com
www.bedfordfair.com
www.llbean.com
www.talbots.com
www.willowridgecatalog.com

Try shopping and browsing online at the previously mentioned stores as well as the following:

www.forever21.com (some teen stuff, some grown up!)
www.gojane.com (some teen stuff, some grown up!)
www.spiegel.com
www.rampage.com
www.bluefly.com (check the clearance!)

As far as stores go, try TJ Maxx or Mashalls for inexpensive and fashionable clothing.

My advice is don't be afraid to experiment. Try everything on! Make sure you feel comfortable in it and, of course, you never know how it will look unless you take it off the hanger and give it a try!

GOOD LUCK! :)

I know exactly what you mean. I'm a 27 year mom, and I have a hard time find things that aren't too old or too young, and still in my price range. The years of disposable income are gone :-)
For some tips on fashion and trends, try

It's a general sites that won't give you a bunch of designers and expensive items to buy, and the advice is usually pretty good. Plus, there are a lot of links to each topic on what and where to buy.
Then when it's time to go shopping, try discount stores. I don't mean Wal-Mart, but TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Ross, and stores like that. They carry many of the brand names for much less. You can buy more for the same amount without having to get stuck with poor quality or things you don't really like just to stay on budget.
