I have found an old amstrad game thanks to yahoo answers but cannot get it to work on my pc. I have downloaded the game, and an emulator but how do I get the game running? Its driving me nuts!! It keeps coming up as a dsk file but wont open please can anyone give me an idiots guide so i can relive the eighties!!!!

Hope you won't be offended by a basic suggestion - you have downloaded the emulator, but have you installed it? It probably needs to be unpacked and the installation program run.

If you have already done this, it sounds like you are not able to open the dsk file by double-clicking on it - you may have better luck if you start the emulator first, then look for an Open File button or menu, and navigate to your dsk file there.

A .dsk file is a disk file, mostly for a floppy, and is particular to Apple computers from, ah, a previous time. Won't run on a PC.

I have lots of Amstrad CPC games on my PC and emulators. Which emulator are you using? Most recent ones should have all the required ROMS in the directory. E-mail me if you need assistance.

I cannot answer the question but you are definitely not an illiterate bimbo or you would not have got as far as you have.
That said I hope somebody can help you as there are a lot of clever people out there.
