Also, what state are you in?

In California, kids don't trick or treat until it's dark. In New York, they start in the afternoon before it's dark.

here, they tend to start at about 5 pm, but its already dark. by 5:30 its as dark as its gonna be all night.

new england..... the only place where you can have 5 seasons in 4 days.

I am in Colorado. We will wait until it is dark to go out. I expect most kids will be out between 5:30 PM and 9:00 PM tonight MST.

Yeah New York and New Jersey we start early and continue into the night! Parties everywhere. You know New York is the city that never sleeps. So it's just big fun every year!

Up here in New England if they started before dark they wouldn't do very well because everyone is still at work....

Get's dark here before 5 pm now...

We're in CA, and I just asked my husband what time to be ready for the kiddies. He expects them to start around 5 p.m.

In IA, we always waited until dark. 9-9:30 was out "time to come home" time.

I'm in Ohio. Unfortunately, we start at 6 when it's still daylight out. And the worst part about it is - it only lasts 2 hours! How unfair is that?!
