IMO he turned Van Halen from a fun-lovin' beer drinkin' rock band into a sappy, cheesy, love-song-manufacturing pop band.

Quite honestly, people just don't get it. He's a performer who takes care of his fans. To me, Sam rocks and is 'da man' ... and that's all that matters. Sure DLR was a good front man - but Sam was a different kind of front man. Ever stop to think maybe the brothers were ready to settle down? I didn't hear EVH complaining all those years Sammy fronted for VH. Quite honestly, SH is better off solo - I much prefer his concerts where EVH is not holding him back! Rock On Sammy!!! Counting Down Till Cabo '07!

It's the fallout from when he replaced David Lee Roth from Van Halen and that the Red Rocker is (rumored to be) preventing a full reunion tour from happening
