extracting zip files are easy......
but how the heck do ya extract a flippin rar?? lol
also I downloaded some resorts to add to the neighbour hood 'it specifically mentioned..when I extract the files,, to place them in the 'collections file' ,which I done , but they're not there? - 'confused'
would appreciate if someone with experience in extracting files to sims 2 could get in touch with me, I would like to know how all this is done - cheers!

You need WinRar in order to do that. You can download it for free at this site, http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

You need www.winrar.com the winrar program to unzip those files. Actually it's better then winzip,c ause you can unzip both winrar and winzip files with it.
As for putting files in the right place. there are great programs for that.

sims file maid,., I used, and it's sooo easy, all you do is drop the unzipped files in there on the grass, and it goes where it's supposed to.
OH my! this bottom link is a newer version. just place your zipped files on the grass!! I want this program back!! LOL

You need WinRAR. Google it. WinRAR extracts rar's and zip's too.
