If you look at human history , AT ANY ONE TIME you will always find something or the other needing change. But what is overlooked is that there have been continous changes throughout history, changes big and small.

May be 100 years ago people didnot even lock their front door. Now you have possessions and some others donot have . so you want to protect. This is due to a social change.

May be 20 years ago there were no gay marriages though there have been gay people for thousands of years. Is this not a major change in social thinking?

May be The Beatles brought about a major change in the attitude of younger people. Rules are always set only to be broken or changed.

I am reminded of the famous polevaulter of Russia Sergi Bubka.. He was determined to clear the bar at any height. In fact he would set the bar for himself to try to go over.

As for your question about avoiding taxes , yes there are legal ways of not paying taxes if you know the ways. The government allows that if you fulfill all those conditions..

First off, let's eliminate the color naming objection - learn the equivalent in another language (it might make you feel better). As for ready-made rules, they are annoying in some cases, but if you stop to think about it, you are benefiting every day by the presence of rules (your comfortable society couldn't exist without them). Regarding taxes, who is going to pay someone to keep roads drivable? What if you got into an accident and wanted to get to a hospital - with no money to pay for roads to be maintained and no money to fund hospitals, you could end up dead. HOWEVER, there is good reason for you to feel stifled by the pre-existence of laws, rules, social programs, schools with fixed curriculums, everything already named and sorted out. Well, mankind has been doing this for thousands of years, so naturally we are stuck with a lot of it; it's really hard to change what already exists. That doesn't mean it isn't being tested by disgruntled people such as yourself, and CHANGED too from time to time. There are lots of people looking for better ways - more environmentally friendly ways, quicker ways, prettier ways, and so on. Be one of them. Look it up on the Internet (use your imagination here - you're going to need to develop your imagination if you're going to be trying to change things!). And invent a new word. I personally would be grateful to you if you could come up with a good word to describe that fantastic shaking a dog does to get water off - if you see it in slow motion, the dog's entire fur spins - there HAS to be a better word for that! So have fun, and I really want that word!

The American colonies set out to change the social contract in 1776, and succeeded. They did so again in 1789, so it is possible. But unless you can demonstrate that government is useless, and hence not worth supporting with taxes, taxes will remain. (Lotsa luck with that one.)

It doesnt matter what a color is called. what would happen if they just changed the names..nothing! we have come a long way to find a pretty harmonious set of conditions to live for and with. you can always find an island somewhere and start over.

Yes, it's possible... but it would take a massive number of people to make our government hear us, and listen. Unfortunately, most of us are to lazy to change the things we dislike, and therefore, we just sit around and complain about the things we dislike.
