I had graphic design work done by an Indian based company. Because of the language barrier it is difficult to go back and forth with them about edits. I would prefer to do the edits myself but for some reason I'm unable to. For some reason I cannot edit the existing text. When I click on the text edit tool I still am unable to edit the text. Just an empty box comes up. Please help. I do not know how to use corel well and I need to make the corrections asap.

Like Dewcoons said,
- maybe the layer is 'lock' (unlock all layer)
- maybe your text is group with another object. (ungroup all)
- maybe your text have been convert to Curves (you can't do anything to get it back)
if your text have been convert to curves, just delete it and type new text.

I assume, you never use Corel-Draw before.
- select your text, don't use 'A' tools, use 'Pointer'.
- watch in the 'layer' listbox.
- from there you will know that your 'Text' is in Group with another object, or have been convert to curves.

hope this help.

With Corel, an image can have many layers. If you are not on the layer where the text is, you can not edit it. Check to see if you have multiple layers, and then turn them each one and off until you find the one with text.

Also, it is possible that they have "merged" the layers in the image they sent you. In that case, you cannot edit the text.
