When I was watching Family Feud, the host started rubbing one of the contestant's belly and after he was done, her face got a little confused and annoyed.
I also hear stories from other women that when they were pregnant, other people, even strangers started touching their pregnant stomach without asking their permission and it all happened so fast, you don't have time to react.

It all depends on how you look at it, or how "private" a person is, I suppose. I got that a lot when I was pregnant too ... but, I didn't mind. I actually took it as a compliment ... they wanted to "touch" my baby.

I think it is a part of human nature. They want to ... not only feel, but to protect a woman, when she's pregnant. Has anyone ever noticed this? They open doors for you a lot more, when you're pregnant or they take certain safety measures, when you're in their presence. If you're standing and they're sitting ... they offer their seat to you. They also tend to stop and let you cross the street ... yet when you're not pregnant, you can wait for quite a while. I've had people offer to carry my groceries for me ... and even offer to help me across the street, when the road was was really icy.

It's all just human nature ... IMO.

that's rather freaky to have somebody arise and touch you for no obvious reason! no longer my renowned subject interior the worldwide. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that that's kinda cool to think of that there is a sprint individual in there. earlier I have been given pg, my maximum suitable pal had a new child and that i wanted to touch her abdomen each and all the time! yet of path, she's my maximum suitable pal and we in basic terms had a giggle approximately it. i'd by no potential do this to a stranger.

I don't know! I've seen that too! I've never been pregnant, but if I was, I know I'd prefer people ask first! I always have asked first, and I've never asked a stranger if I could rub their bellies! It's always been friends/family.

I happened to me all the time. I never minded it. I think that people are just drawn to the fact that there is life inside of you and that is the most awesome thing ever. I found that most of the people who rubbed or touched my belly were elderly women. I just figured that it brought back good memories for them.

Unless they mean harm to you lighten up abit. They are some people out there that are just plain friendly and sometimes they are in awe and the first reaction is to touch.
