The bill of rights is the constitution

I wouldn't say there are similarities, because they are two distinctly different things.

The Constitution spells out the structure of the government and specifies the duties of the various branches of government.

The Bill of Rights is the codified reiteration of the underlying foundations of the Constitution. These are rights that are ours inherently, that precede and supercede the Constitution. They were not given to us by government, they are our birthright from our Creator.

That is why when it is so heinous when they are casually stolen from us by government, with the willing collusion of many people who are too dull to actually understand what harm they are doing.

It is like saying, "What are the similarities between me and my conscience?" What I feel in my mind and heart is metaphysically unlike the physical body. The U.S. Constitution is the organizational structure of the American government, and the Bill of Rights is the addenda (so to speak) which avails the foundation of dignity and security of the constituent citizen.

We must try to fathom the spirit. In this we will find all the answers to securing our ultimate happiness.
