in tradition most men don't wear a ring. but if you truly love the lady and she wishes you to wear one. go ahead and do it. my wife bought me an engagement ring. of gold with an eagle on it. and i have never taken it off since she put it on my finger. my wedding band is never removed either. she still smiles every time she looks at my hands

Traditionally, the woman receives an engagement ring, and the man does not wear anything. As far as the wedding ring goes, you can get whatever you want. Most men either wear a plain gold or silver wedding band, but many have diamonds. It comes down to personal preference. Congratulations on your engagement!

Go with one that feels comfortable and suits your look, whether it be thick, thin, patterned or diamond laden.
Fancy rings tend to be in vogue at different times so could look dated in 10 years or so.
A Plain gold band, for both of you, will be timeless.
As far as engagement rings go, this is again your choice. My wife bought me a gold signet ring which I wore on the ring finger. You could also wear a pendant on a chain. So long as you know what it means then it is your choice.

there is no hard and fast rule, an engagement ring is a personal choice for a man, and weeding rings follow the same ethic, it depends if you want matching bands i would not recommend diamonds for a mans wedding band as the work you do may loosen stones a plain band is best and far more masculine

A man can have an engagement ring and and this will usually have a diamond in it. Wedding rings are usually plain but can also have a diamond i it.

I have never heard of an engagement ring for a man, as for the wedding ring, most catholic ceremonies have one but I thing Church of England or protestant it is an option , ask your partner what she would like

The man doesn't usually wear an engagement ring.
He can wear a plain band or he can have a band that matches her wedding ring.....the choice should be his since he has to wear it hopefully forever.

no men wear wedding bands. the engagement ring for men is a new thing. in the old days men never wore wedding bands as such.they wore a gold ring on their left pinkie fingers. so you now have an other choice.
