to stop cleaning my house when she comes over to babysit. I can never find stuff and things are not properly cleaned. I know she means well but I find it makes things more difficult for me.

Just be honest and tell her that you really appreciate that she is trying to help out but that you are VERY particular about the arrangment of your things and it is not necessary to do it.

Clean your house before she goes over and babysit, that way the only thing she has to clean is the mess that was made when she was there and not yours....

try first telling her that when she does this cleaning u never find ur things again and that this causes u troubles
then if she didn't understand it indirectly, well say it to her clearly that u r a bit obsessed about anybody doing the cleaning instead of u but that u didn't tell her because she is ur friend and u were afraid to hurt her feelings or ur friendship

Just be honest, or at least partially honest. Tell her you appreciate her trying to help, but that you really have to hunt for things after she "helps you out by putting things away". Tell her you don't mind a little mess, and that you really appreciate the help baby-sitting, and that is enough. Don't mention that she doesn't properly clean.

It may be she's trying to be helpful, or she may just get bored, if say the kids are asleep and she has nothing to do.

Well either find another babysitter or if u think it might offend ur friends feelings, tell her u like ur things messy or clean them up yourself!!!

If it were me, I'd say something like; "Stop cleaning my house when you come over."

Tell her that you appreciate what she is doing but tell her you prefer to do your own cleaning and that it makes you uncomfortable.

Maybe you should let her babysit at her house.

Tell her exactly that. Don't be rude or anything. If she's a friend she will be cool about it.
