Mortuary Science. The fastest way is to go to a community college and get a two year degree. This was a consideration of mine in the past. They have select schools (2 years and 4 years) that have this major. Do your research to find ones in your area.
Laguardia College has one in NYC.

Yes, you need to go to school for that. An excellent school is the New England Institute for Applied Arts and Sciences in downtown Boston. Good luck.

Yes you need to go to funeral directors school. they teach you everything you need to know to conduct a funeral, including emalming. Uck!
