I think she was a psycho not a psychologist. And I can see why no school offered her a permanent teaching position.

I'm sorry that happened to you, dear (I'm a substitute teacher myself, and I'd NEVER embarrass the students like that - Mrs Wanda really sucks as an educator - and she's probably a lousy psychologist too...)
By the way, although that may have been the most embarrassing moment of your life so far, you've got a lot of years ahead of you (and a lot more embarrassments to look forward to)
I recently had a similar experience to yours - I had signed up for a writing class, and on the first night, the instructor told us we had to write a story about our best friend in High School, and we had to share the story with the everybody at the next class...
Now, as it happened, I didn't have any friends when I was a High School student (graduating school and becoming an adult was the best thing that ever happened to my social life), so I had nothing to say...
Not wanting to be embarrassed in public (like you were), I ended up not ever going back to that class (and, since it's an adult education class, I'd had to pay for it, $ 225 dollars for a 10 session class - and NO REFUNDS NO MATTER WHAT)...
In any case, I hope you feel better - and don't let that idiot substitute teacher get you down, OK?

[Will get to the jokes down below.... but here's an Internet smile :-) and a wide armed hug =--8--= 4 U to start out....]
A few thoughts...
First, you have already done a good thing -- by asking for someone to cheer you up rather than simply wallowing in the ugly feelings left behind by an individual who is frankly a jerk. Which leads to my main thing you can do....
Psychology being the study of human behavior, I fail to see how Mrs. Wanda was studying ANYTHING by singling you out, nor do I see any object lesson worth teaching that requires humiliation of four students.
You need to get very very angry... As in -- angry enough to have a parent or guardian come down to the school and drop a little thunder on the school administration because then at least the humiliation that the four of you had to bear has a positive effect --
if that teacher is fired the fact that you stood up for yourself will have saved others from being similarly humiliated in the future.
Next -- I would wager that if we sat and talked you would discover that you do have friends -- just not with the strong bonds of friendship that keep your heart full of joy rather than the current partial loneliness that you are experiencing. You know what? I will also wager that if you watch a number of your classmates over the next few days you will see others who have been bitten by the lonely bug as well. I guarantee that by being their friend, you will become the best friend your school ever had.
Think of making friends like planting seeds in a garden. It takes a little bit of work (courage) to get the ground ready, to plant the seeds (walk up to folks and be friendly), and more work to water (share good experiences with them), and weed (being a good listener is the best way). But like a garden, the friendships will grow and become strong, as will you.
My final thought is that "you can fill up all of the empty spaces around you with goodness, because if you try God will always be there to fill up your cup."

You should report Mrs. Wanda for her cruel exercise. She had absolutely no right to conduct it, or to single any of you out for being unliked. It pains me that someone so despicable is even in a position to teach children.
Your popularity in that particular class is by no means a measure of how talented, smart, and wonderful you are as a person.
You should tell your parents what happened, as well as your regular teacher when she returns to class. If she does not take any action, make an appointment with the principal to explain what happened. This way you can make sure Mrs. Wanda never does this again!
You will come to meet many people in your lifetime, and make many friends along the way. Don't let that class, or a miserable woman like Mrs. Wanda get you down! If you need someone to talk to, all of us here at Yahoo! Answers are your friends. That's way more people then are in your class. :)

where the hell did that teacher go 2 school. I would talk 2 the principal because that is the kind of things they look at to determine if they want that sub back. What kinda of a psychologist would ask such a things that is so unprofessional. what i would do is embarass her ***. I would say i cant believe you have your liscense i think you do more damage to a person than you can helping them. What is the name of the school you got your degree in, because i want to call the psych department and ask them is this what they teach them 2 humiliate students in front of their peers. Dont let ignorant peepz like that get you down. Im a teacher and if that happened to my students I would hope that a student would come to me and tell me because i would deal with it the best way I knew how. That makes me mad!!!! Or u might say to her you dont have your teaching liscense do you and she would probably ask why and then you could say because that was very unprofessional and a realllllll teacher wouldnt ask such a question!!!!

I can't believe a teacher did that. That is just a awful thing to do to a person. Anyone would feel terrible after going through something like that. Can't you report her to your school's principal? I don't have any joke for you, but I'll tell you, I didn't have any friends either when I was at school. I was really embarrassed about that, so I can imagine how you must feel. Try not to be down, okay. I'll be thinking about you.

I find it very interesting that a professional... especially a psychologist would choose to toy with you that way. She knew exactly what she was doing and unfortunately for you, you were her victim. If was very unprofessional for her to do that in front of the whole class. People like her who have the education and knowledge but not a right mind, are very dangerous to our society...
Let me guess.. what she wearing a tall long black hat, her nose wrinkly long with a big mole on the end and a dress made of black rags and pointy black shoes with buckles?... or let's not forget her broom and cat!! j/j
You know what, just forget about it! Unless she had something useful or meaningful to say to you after she humiliated you.. that experience is not worth your energy.
Take Care

That was uncalled for. She had no right to do that. You should write to your school board, courtesy copying your letter to some political activists or human rights groups in your city. Let them know exactly what she did, what she said, and how you felt. Don't minimize anything she said or did, or how you felt.
Courtesy copy to others so that it will enforce action on your complaint. Don't be afraid to do so, they're on your side.
Do it now while it's still fresh in your memory. When people don't do anything, that's why stupid people continue to horrible things to each other.
She can be prevented from ever teaching as a substitute again. She was low! Take care of you, cause no one else will, hugs xoxo :x

Your sub was out of line. It's not her place or business to ask those things. I have always hated popularity contests, such as voting for class queen or something like that. Unpopularity contests are just plain mean. Tell your folks what happened and ask that they talk to your principal to complain. If they don't talk to your school counselor and your regular teacher. I'll bet the other students that were singled out were hurt and uncomfortable too. Ask them to complain too. They may be grateful that their embarrassment was recognized as cruel and they may be willing to help avenge this substitute who needs a course in tactfulness.

I think it was horrible that the teacher did that. Its hard enough to be in school, without having a teacher point out something so cruel! I'm sure you are a great person, so don't worry about anything. I was going to add a joke, but I didn't know how old you are, and I wanted it to be age appropriate! lol

Are you kidding?? I cannot believe a teacher did that to you! What a bi***! She had no right to do something like that. I would tell your principal what she did and get her fired!
Anyway..I'm sorry that happened to you. I had quite a few embarrassing moments in class, and thought I would die at times from embarassment. Believe me, they all pass, people forget and move on to something else. Just give it a little time and keep your chin up! Please don't let a heartless inconsiderate teacher get to you so much. Your worth is not based on things like this.
