For people to keep their offspring at home, and have the adults do a circuit of delivery to each house for Halloween?
I mean, why are kids wandering the streets so late at this time of the year?
Or am I missing the point of all this Halloween absurdity?

First of all trick-or-treating is a tradition that goes back longer that I can remember. I'm sure most of us as children if not all at some point enjoyed getting dressed up and going from door to door getting candy. But unfortunatly things have changed. It's not safe anymore because there are alot more crazies out there who dont care who they hurt, not even kids. Anyway to answer your question yes, I do feel that another method sould be considered by parents. Afterall why should the children suffer and lose out on tradition just because of the losers out there?

OK. Froma 12 year old perspective the point of halloween is to act your costume, meet guys, kiss a guy with out parents, saty up late, eat candy, chill with friends. Unfortunately my dasd is being a dickweed and he wants to follow my friends aroung and meet up with me at 8:30 he's an erg

It will take all the fun out of trick or treating. It is very dangerous walking the streets at night especially a kid. I'm making sure I supervise my children istead of taking away their fun.

It's fun for the kids to dress up and go out. I have to add that I take them out I never let them out on their own.

nah...it's fun for the kids to walk around and see everyone, and, in our town, it's from 5:30-7:30......not exactly late.

I agree with you. Nobody should be partaking in Halloween anyway, it's demonic and pagan.
