If you live (as I do) in a village near a city (20 km or 12.5 miles)... you won't have any disadvantage...

... although the piece of the villages sometimes is a disadvantage to several people!

If the village is close to a big city with hospitals, doctors, schools, high schools and administrative services, there are no disadvantages, but only good!
However, if it is living in a mountain village, well... I've heard that it's tough! Especially in winter time, when snow isolates you from all life, health care and education...
You can imagine.
