Certainly! Most people will change professions at least 5 times in their lives. We change, our society changes and the economy changes. As a result, we have to adapt to our society needs and demands and also try to be happy doing what we do. A bachelor's degree can be seen as a stepping stone for some people who go on to get master degrees in a completely different field. I have seen many students apply for a master's in business or engineering with a bachelor's in art history, and others getting teaching certificates after discovering that engineering or business is not what they want to do.

Absolutely! I am in Graduate school now and I still don't work in my field. After I get my Master's degree...I am changing again to Teaching. I know I can find a job in teaching.

Don't get discouraged if it is something you really want to do. I haven't given up, I just practice my field on the side for non-profit organizations, mostly for free. This is helping me to get the exposure and experience and I am building my portofolio.

I graduated with a BA in English Lit and could find a job, but not a good job with decent hours, good working conditions and benefits. I found that I loved teaching ESL, so I've now returned to school to get a BEd.
