On my computer, whenever i go to Yahoo search, for example, before i even type anything in, it brings up a list of previously searched items. Well, my finances younger brother comes over occasionally to play on the net, and i'm scared that he will go to search for things and he will see some of the racey things that were looked up before. Is there anyway to erase this? I've gone under internet options and deleted cookies and cleared history, but that's not it. Any suggestions?

usually you can hold your mouse over these and highlight the item, then click delete on the keyboard. i know this works on dogpile, and i think it works on yahoo as well. good luck.

After you open the browser, go to the menu options, "tools", click on internet options. This brings out a dialog box, under the General tab near the bottom of the dialog, click Clear History. To remove the Auto Complete option, select the Content tab near the bottom of the dialog box, listed in the personal information is a button marked AutoComplete, click this button. If you want to turn off the AutoComplete option, uncheck the any of the boxes marked with a check mark

What you're seeing is called Autocomplete.

To remove the items in Internet Explorer (older than IE 7), click Tools, Internet Options and go to the Content Tab.

At the bottom of that page is a button called AutoComplete. Click it, and then click the button that says Clear Forms.

In IE 7, just click tools, and Delete Browsing History
