I am going to Freidrichshafen in Germany this weekend with my boyfriend but I am not sure of the things we can see and do there.. I know there is a beautiful lake but I want some other ideas - any suggestions??

Just to tell you, there is a Zeppelin Museum, and you can visit St. Gallen on the opposite side of the lake in Switzerland. That city is beautiful. If that is too far, try Stein am Rhein, also in Switzerland.

What to do in Friedrichshafen?
It is situated at the Lake of Constanz, in German Bodensee. You can take trips by boat to Meersburg, where an old castle is with its stories.
You can go by boat to Konstanz and see historic sites. You can go by boat to the island of Mainau, where the climat is warmer than in the surrounding area ad tropical plants can grow. There is a castle on this island, too, and beautiful gardens with some animals.
You can travel from Friedrichshafen to Reichenau, where ancient churches are, about a 1000 yeats old.
You may also want to go to Austria and hike up the big mountain or take the lift. Lindau is beautiful and not far from Friedrichshafen, on the same side of the lake. You may not want to miss nearby Birnau, a baroque church of a cloister. If you go to a Reisebuero, they may be able to tell you what else you can do and what local programs are available.
