i keep reading specs on new pc's with stuff like
pc-3200
pc4200
i know what ddr ram is but need to know what the fsb would be other than searching each time.

is there a chart for quick reference somewhere?

Well the first guy gave you the speeds for the RAM, so let me tell you about FSB. The FSB is determined by the processor, so it has nothing to do with the RAM. Now they speed of the RAM is technically determined by the FSB, but you can have the same speed RAM working on different speed FSB. So basically you need to just look at each individual computer and at the processor, and it should list what the FSB is there.

PC2-4200 DDR2 runs at 266Mhz, however because is has dual channels it is listed as (in effect) 533Mhz.

I'm not certain what specific info you are seeking in the form of a chart. The most accurate way to get clear specs on PCs is by finding out what type / model of mainboard they have, & then looking up the specs for that particular board.

This will contain all info about the bus speed, types of RAM & CPU's supported, etc ...

core RAM clock speed x 2 =DDR speed rate
core RAM clock speed x 2 x 2 =DDR2 speed rate
core RAM clock speed x2 x 2 x8=PC speed rate

133 MHZ CLOCKSPEED 266MHZ DDR I/O SPEED DDR2-525 SPEEDRATING =4200/8
