My wife can only wear anti-magnetic watches. Apparently there is something about her magnetic personality that causes watches to stop. She can also water-witch, which not everyone can do. I would look for an anti-magnetic watch and see if it works for you.

Because you've laways been educated to live without any need to check a watch on your wrist.
It happened the same to me and I got used not checking the time or checking the time when I could do it (clock on the wall, mobile,...). four years ago they gave me a wristwatch as a present and I put it on my wrist.
At first I didn't like it because it was making my wrist feel heavy, but I got used to it.
lately the battery has run out and I took away my watch thinking that I could come back to the origins. NO WAY! Since then I feel frustrated that I cannot check the time whenever I want. In fact the day after tomorrow I'll go to change the battery so that I can have my watch back on my wrist.
So if you've never been able to wear a watch you may consider yourself lucky!

I'm unsure of your question, but if it is because the watch always stops when you wear it--I totally understand! My father has the same problem. Watches simply stop when they touch his skin. I think it probably has something to do with the energy/chemicals in his skin/body.

However, I have a solution--If this is your problem, find a watch in which the metal back of the watches face DOES NOT TOUCH your skin. This watch will have a leather strap that acts as a barrier between the watch face and your wrist. This is the only kind of watch my dad can wear. Good luck.

The only watches I can wear for any length of time are digital. I magnetize analog watches so they never keep the correct time any longer than a few hours. Unfortunately, I only like analog watches.

a subconscious predisposition to avoid getting older (at least according to my new age friend every time you glance at your watch you're a second older).

i don't really like wearing one as it distracts me from focusing on my next job. some people are just really carefree and wearing a watch seems to tie them up unnecessarily to their already busy schedule.

do you ever notice how many people keep glancing on and on at their watches whilst waiting at the bus stop, in the queue to pay for groceries, etc. what's that for? surely, they know what time it is as they have a watch on their wrists :)

They always fall off? You always break them? You can't afford one? They irritate your skin?
