No, a lie will hurt more, in the end the truth always comes out, no matter what. And in the end, I would find out the truth and feel as though the person who told me the lie, did not respect me as a individual enough to be honest. That would be double the hurt, the hurt of the lie, discovering the lie and the lack of respect. God bless

Depends on your definition of truth, and who would benefit from it being told. Some people believe it is OK to lie about little things "harmless things" like how much they make or how often the vacation even how educated they are. They draw the line at "Big" things like taxes and cheating on a spouse. There are those who say all lies are bad but will still tell someone they have a lovely singing voice when in fact it is a lie. What is the definition of the truth that concerns you and is it better left unsaid?

Give me the truth every time! I will not be hurt by it. Now if that trruth would hurt others, I'd consider the nature of the hurt and go from there.

It depends on how detrimental it is. For instance, when my husband and I moved we had to give away two of our three cats to a lovely woman who adores them. But it was very hard to let them go and I cried like a baby. I told my husband (who works with the lady who took our cats) that if she ever told him that something had happened to either of the cats just to not tell me at all, I told him to just continue to tell me they were doing fine even if they werent because I couldnt live with the guilt.
On the other hand, say someone knew my husband was cheating on me or something more serious like that....THAT I would like to know even if it hurt because it has the potential to hurt even more if I was lied to and never told.
