Go to the store buy a tank and a power filter. No fish belong in bowls no matter what kind of fish it is and a bowl filter will not change that.

A fish bowl filter usually has specific instructions on its box. There are 2 usual types in the market:

1. Corner filter. You'll need an air pump, a corner filter, a filter mat, a piping tube, and some stones. You put the stones and the filter mat inside the filter. You close it, then attach it to your piping tube. Then you connect your tube to your air pump. Then you fill your fish bowl with water, plug your air pump to electric sockets, watch bubbles come up the water surface, and your on your way! Just clean the filter mat and change 10% of your water once a week.

2. Undergravel filter. You'll need an air pump, an undergravel filter, and a piping tube. You connect the piping tube to your undergravel filter, then you attach it to the air pump, then you plug it to get electric current. Then you have your bubbles! Same cleaning procedure, except that you no longer have a filter mat to clean...
