Sometimes when I try and get on the net ,the computer tells me that i dont have enough free memory to get on.

Kill unused applications.

But you better get you more ram. Below 512 often creates problem with winXP.

Run the msconfig utility. Go to Start, then Run and type in: msconfig
Go to the startup tab
You will see a list of all the programs that are loaded when your computer starts up. Uncheck any that you do not have to have. (Usually you can uncheck them all). If you decide you to need one, you can go back and recheck it.
The fewer things running in the background, the more meory you have for programs.

Also, considering investing in more memory. It is not that expensive to add additional memory to a PC.

To many cookies. When's the last time you did a clean up of those?

please try cleanup.exe you'd be glad you did.

you can use Free RAM Optimizer XP,but it's better to buy more Ram
