If you did this (please don't), and you saw blood, I would not necessarily assume the blood is from the stomach--i.e. you puked blood.
The acid would burn your tongue, inside of your mouth and throat on its way down into your stomach. Destroying these cells could conceivably cause bleeding. Acid also dissolves the bones in your teeth, which could also lead to bleeding.
We are assuming the HCl is fairly concentrated. Soft drinks contain a strong acid (phosphoric acid), but generally do not cause us to puke blood. This definitely does not mean you should drink any HCl, or any other chemical in the lab.

Depending on the concentration several things might occur. Think of the last time you vomited. That burning sensation in you nose and throat was from the HCl in your stomach. That saw a low concentration. Higher concentration will burn out the esophagus and stomach lining....puking blood would be the least of your problems

The stomach actually contains acid that is equivialent to about 0.1M HCL, if the concetration is low enough, that is enough acid combined with enough water, nothing would happen. But the more concretrated the acid the more damage that it can do. It is corrosive. So my advice, do not drink HCL, you can read information on the chemical and its properties here :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrochloric_acid
and
http://physchem.ox.ac.uk/MSDS/HY/hydrochloric_acid.html
I hope this helps but....DO NOT drink HCl.....=)

depending on the strength of the acid it would burn your flesh and your internal organs. you'd be really lucky if all you did was puke blood
