In my neighborhood, all of the houses that have kids have a colored picture of a ghost on their front door? Is this a new thing? What does it mean?

It could be something the kids made at school. or to let all the parents know that its a safe house. Kinda of like leaving a light on or lighting the pumpkin. I dont know if its a new thing, but its actually a good idea.

It's to let the children know they can receive treats from that house. My house won't have one. I don't support halloween. I usually take my children to Fall Festivals.

If it's hand-colored, it's probably something the school gave them to put on their doors so other kids know that Trick or Treaters are welcome.
