When I go to www.wellsfargo.com it searchs for www.wellsfargo.com like it doesn't exist. Also happens when go to any user name password sites. Can't find www.americanexpress.com, can't find yahoo email login page, can't find login for my electric company, etc. Any thoughts??

A friend ran into this problem last week he tryed everything he could but could not retreive his files and had to reformat his computer, when it was all over he found all his missing files in the trash bin.
You may be dealing with a nasty virus here are a couple programs from microsoft you can run before doing anything as drastic as reformating.

you gotta get rid of it before it tricks you into giving personal information away. Download HijackThis and run it. It will create a log of everything that's on your pc. You can either review that and delete the appropriate stuff or post your log entry online and let the experts figure it out. Sounds like a pain but it really comes in handy. You could always purchase something to clean it up but I wouldn't waste money. Last resort, reinstall Windows.

OK you have been hijacked (your home page has) and it is over riding you stuff try these scanners Spy bot search & destroy and trend micro is one of the best for getting your stuff back to normal If you do thry this when you go to trendmicro go to free tools Good Luck

If possible do a reinstallation. It is the least time consuming solution to all software related problems.
