My brother is a board certified radiologist in Eastern Europe. He might move to the United States in the next couple of years. He will probably be residing in NY State at the beginning. What does he need to do in order to receive an equivalency of his education here and eventually be certified to practice medicine in the US? Can he get a head start while still lives in his own country?

He needs to take the USMLE (US Medical Licensing Exam). I believe it's a 3 part test or 3 tests. Go to the AMA (American Medical Association) website for more information. He can start studying for it while he still lives in his country.
