Right, the planet sucks at the minute. Are we all agreed?

Now, in order to fix the planet, it's going to take time, effort and money. Are we agreed?
Good.
Now, the politicians who run our various countries are theiving bastards who refuse to spend any money fixing anything because spending money immediately means an increase in taxes, and an increase in taxes gets people annoyed and means they won't be running our various countries for much longer. Are we all agreed?
Good.
So, here's the deal: how about we take a vote. All those in favour who think, "Screw it, we all agree to be p*ss poor for the next ten years, so long as there is a 100% guarentee that after those ten years, everything will be fixed" say "Aye".
All those who think "Thinks will get better on the their own, I'm sure it just needs a little time" say "Nay".

I vote for the 3rd option. A good portion of the world's problems can be solved by finding a cheap, renewable energy source. I vote for finding a way to turn dead politicians into a cheap source of energy. Burning their rotting carcasses will most likely produce tons and tons of methane gas. Burning them alive may produce even more...
