My boyfriend travelled to Malaysia and I want to know the easiest place to buy affordable clothes, shoes, and accessories.

Malaysia is currently having Mega Carnival Sales in most major shopping complexes. Big discounts of course! Recommend your boyfriend to visit China Town in KL, Mid Valley Megamall in KL, 1Utama in PJ Selangor, or Curve in Damansara Selangor.
Not Suria KLCC --- very expensive and less discount. Unless if you are looking for higher end brands there then is okay.

Mid-valley and KLCC the goods there are good qualities but the price will be more expensive . The night market , Giant store, Mydin ...are selling cheaper goods but about qualities will not be as good as mid-valley and klcc.Mid-valley and KLCC is not really expensive but is just more cost, you can afford it.

Kuala Lumpur is enough...cheap and affordable for u...
others : langkawi, kelantan, terengganu, melaka etc.
all cheap.

they have this thing called "pasar malam" (night market) u can get clothes for 5.00....
