Help segregation? Rosa Park's refusal to give up here seat is a major benchmark in the demise of segregation in the United States. Her action was a planned event which led to the first major boycott in the South.

She didn't help any segregation, she hindered it by being an icon, around which others could flock. She was the representation of the ills of segregation and a catalyst that started the Bus Boycott that eventually led to the ending (not helping) of bus segregation.
