about teen suicide
i have info and everything i just CANT figure out how to set it all up and it was due yesterday but we can work on it today.. help please.

What do you mean set it all up? How to start? You have to give us what you have and we will be glad to help but we need some info first. What kind of info do you have? Is it broken down by state? Age? Economic group? Race? You need to decide from what angle you want to approach the issue.

You write about something specific relating to teen suicide. An example would be "SSRI's (e.g. Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, etc.) taken among teens increases the probability of suicide."


Basically, if it is a psychology paper, structure it like a big literature review.
Start off with something broad, then move to your specific thesis statement. Then the next paragraphs, lay out your sources that support your thesis. Also include sources that refute your thesis. For the latter sources, somehow find a way to debunk them.

Remember, you are trying to persuade the reader into buying your argument.

What I used to do for some papers was to leave the reader wanting more. Somehow say the more research is needed in this area or something like that.

ok let me see if I can help you here, first of all calm down, you already did most of the work. the research.
this is the process I use and is very uesful
P=planning, means descovering amd compiling ideas for your writing. you have done this
S=shaping, means organising your material, what you are going to use.
D=drafting, means writing your material into sentences and paragraphs
R=revising, means evaluating your draft and then rewriting it by adding, deleting, rewording and rearranging. have someone else read your paper and give you some input.
E=editing, means checking for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and mechanics.
P=proofreading, means reading your final copy to eliminate typing or handwriting errors.

Set your paper up in this manner;
1. Introductory paragraph: leads into topic of hte essay and tries to capture the readers interest.

2.Thesis statement: States the central message of the writing. The thesis statement usually appears at the end of the introductory paragraph.

3. Background information: Provides a context for understanding the points a writer wants to make. Background information may be intefrated into he introductory paragraph. More complex infromation may require a separate paragraph of information.

4. Points of discussion: Suppor the essay's thesis statement. They are the essential content of the body paragraphs in an essay. Each point of discussion consists of a general statement backed up by specific details.

5.Concluding paragraph: Ends the essay smoothly, flowing logically from the rest of the essay.

Each paragraph in the essay needs to be proportion to its function. Infroductory and concluding paragraphs are usually shorter than body paragraphs. Body paragraphs need to be somewhat approximate to each other in length. If one body paragraph becomes overly long in relation to the others, consder breaking it up into two paragraphs.

Thesis statement requirements are
1. It states the essays subject-the topic you are discussing
2. It conveys the essays purpose-either informative or persuasive
3. It indicates your focus-the assertion that presents your point of view
4. It uses specific language-not vague words
5. It may briefly state the major subdivisions of the essays topic.

Here are some tips of over comming writers block

Try writing your material as if you were someone else. When they take on a role, many writers fell less inhibited about the writing.

Start in the middle. begin with a body paragraph, and write from the center of your essay out, instead of from the begining to end.

Change your method of writing, if you usually use a computer, try hand writing. When you write by hand, treat yourself to a good-quality paper so that you can enjoy the pleasure of writing on somooth, strong paper. Often that pleasure propels you to keep going. If you usually use a pen, switch to pencil or computer.
Good luck, these ideas may sound or seem crazy, however they are very helpful. Good luck to you, calm down and realax, you will get it done. And in the future, write a little bit at a time over a matter of days or weeks this is very helpful. Writing should be thought of as a process, not to be done in one moment or space of time but over a lenght of time. God bless

1. Start by typing the information that you think they are good.
2. Keep reading and typing.. typing typing or cut and paste cut and paste. and do not forget to do the reference
3. Group them into 3 sections.. Introduction, body, and conclusion
4. Begin to edit the sentence and link all together with proper conjunction
5. Add up your analysis and opinion, recommendation

and many "why"

and after many "because"......

you end up with "that's why".....
