I want to hang a mobile from the ceiling. Is there a ceiling screw/hook you can get?

You can get Toggle bolts in various sizes at any home improvement store or hardware store. They have long screws and an anchor on one end that looks a bit like a folding "T". Drill a hole in the ceiling just big enough to fit the "T" inside while folded and it will pop open after it clears the hole on the other side. Place a washer on the other end and tighten into place with a nut or decorative hook cover. These are usually found as a pre-packaged set in home decor departments.

There are tons of ceiling hooks available at most any discount store. You'll want to make certain your screw it into the rafter behind the ceiling drywall (assuming that's what you have); it would probably just pull out of the ceiling board if no wood is behind it.

Rafters are usualy space 16 inches apart if that helps you.

p.s. The hook will simply look like a larger version of a cup hook. Some are decorative as well.

First, how big is it?how much does it weigh?what kind of ceiling do you have? There are about as many ceiling hooks as ther are questions. If your going into a stud, than get a screw hook, or one with woodscrew threads. If your going into a drywall ceiling, you would get a ceiling hook with a toggle end. Those are the two most common for a ceiling.
