Since you decide to attack my country... I'll respond in kind. WE ARE THE WORLD POWER. GET OVER IT!! If you don't like it, lump it. We do not try to take over other countries, but we believe in freedom so strongly that we fight and die to bring it to oppressed countries. I don't know where you live, but you need to thank God for America.... and the fact that you can do it in your own language instead of having to say "Sig heil' first. YOUR obvious envy touches me.

I think some Americans do. Ones like myself are very fearful that we will not only not be a superpower, but reduced to practically nothing if we keep going on like we are. I don't think America, if it improves a bit, could really be reduced to a third world country - unless after nuclear war the whole world is. America is too large and strong to be wiped away suddenly. It would have to be chiseled at slowly by a combination of a lot of other world powers. And though this is a posibility, I only think it will happen if the suceeding administrations are as internationally disliked and meddlesome as the current one.
And I'm in England right now. And I do realize that even those countries considered to be our "pals" are getting pretty sick of us. Most of the countries that support us with our war efforts only do so because of the other ways in which we help their country.
I don't think America will be a dominate superpower forever - even not much longer - but as long as our political world has any sort of semblance to what it is now, I think America will remain powerful.
But regardless, we better get our act together before even Europe completely goes against us.

Well if we don't act, who will? France, hahaha! Sorry, had to get up off the floor. Besides, we aren't a super power, we are THE Superpower.
And the American people like me, do NOT ALWAYS AGREE with what our government does! Most of us do not think we should be oversea's, or giving our money to other countries or loaning our future away, etc. Most of us would like to keep our armies at home and work on our agenda here, to take care of OUR homeless, our internal health care systems, etc. So, if you want to generalize, go ahead, just remember, we can too! i.e., all muslims are bad, evil, all africans are diseased or ignorant, all eurpoeans depend on America, yadda yadda yadda. See, generalizations aren't very pretty OR nice, are they???

People think mostly only of the here and now. Always have. America SHOULD, however, try to remain No. 1 because we have the rest of the world as a sad example..not that America is doing all things right either.

America will be a super power for many years to come, and I for one am glad that a Country such as the US is able to maintain a level of humanity in the world, and will make sacrifices to ensure Freedoms thru out the world...The world has to have some guidelines or it would self destruct under the tyranny of moronic leaders.

We the American people and the world know that the "United States of America" is the most powerful country in the Universe and why is this. Well, we have the best government and system in the world, we are the richest country in the world, we have the best brains in our citizens, we have the companies to keep us financially healthy. We as Americans know that we will do anything to keep us strong and powerful. This is the reason that we are fighting terrorists with or with out the support of the world, we Americans come first. This is the reason we are trying to stop the invasion that is coming across our southern border that is hurting our way of life. We will fight for our country and our right no matter what, foreign and domestic enemies we will fight.

As an American I hope not....It would be wonderful, if our government would turn their attention to the problems we have here. We Americans are getting sick and tired of footing the bill for all the problems in the world. I think it's time for our government to pay more attention to it's own people and the problems this country has, and less on the problems of the rest of the world.

Every imperialist nation/government has its "heyday". Just look at Rome, Ancient Greece and Egypt, England....
History has proven that the "sun will set" on one and another country/nation claims that title...let's just hope that this has yet to be seen.
The United States is still the most powerful nation in the world...

The word Super Power. To understand it one has to know what it means and why and how the USA became a super powers.
From your question and your reasoning and the answers you have gotten none of you have the slightest idea.
So my answer is NO and it isn't because of our goverment or what they do or don't do but because of the people they are governing. How sad !
