I have a 11,000 gallon gunite pool. Does anyone have any idea what it would cost to get it re-plastered? The sides are getting "ruff" like sandpaper. I am finding small amounts of sand in the bottom. There is nothing wrong with any of the tiles and the pool is approx. 13 years old. I have no other problems with the pool.

About five to seven thousand dollars. We had ours replastered maybe eight years ago,and thats what they charged us.

If roughness is the only issue, and not large scale discolouring or chipping, it's possible to have the marbalite sanded down, without the huge cost of replastering.
Your best bet is to get a pool pro in for a free estimate to let you know if this will be an option for you. It may or may not be possible, given the state it's in and how thick they applied the plaster. The result is a surface, just as smooth as the day it was applied. We've used this method in the past, as well as full scale re plastering.
If you do need to go the whole way, the price is going to be geographic dependent. Material rates vary from place to place as does labor costs. Get 3 quotes if possible.
