Negativity can make us our own worst enemies! Inferiority, insecurity & low self-esteem can absorb your mind. Some of us have a terrible tendency to compare ourselves to the rest of the world & feel like we come up short. Don't beat yourself up. Stop seeing yourself as inferior. All of us are special in our own way. I can paint & write & sing but I can't catch or throw a ball to save my life! I was always the last one picked for the team in school sports. I'm not very technologically savvy. I'm politically indifferent. Everyone has different strengths. We will always be better than others in some things & not as good in other things. The important thing is not to compare! Feel good about yourself! Focus on your strengths. Think positively & tell the negative voice in your head to be quiet! (I know it's easier said than done! Still working on it myself!)

Inferiority develops from being unable to meet the expectations real or imagined of others. A person may start by hearing their parents say "that is not good enough" or "you can do better than that".

The person may see siblings as being better at doing things. Competitions between siblings can be difficult and the person may eventually give up on these competitions all together.

Once a person sees all other people as better than them-self, that becomes their focus. It is difficult to see yourself doing anything when you think everyone else can do it better. Once a person stops trying, it becomes easy to just say everyone else can do it better. By not even trying, the person focuses on the inferiority complex rather than on attempting a new task.

Take care,
Troy

Because most people fall short of where they think they should be at this point in their lives. Because perhaps they look at others and there will always be someone who has more and therefore you will have less.

So try to look at those who have less and realize you have so much, intellectually, physically and emotionally, you are much better off than probably 75 percent of the people on this planet. That alone should make you feel better.

Comparison occupies most of the thoughts.

Mostly due to inaccurate comparisons.Stop comparing yourself to others and stop contrasting who you think you are with who you wish you were.Examine your beliefs of yourself and change what you don't like.A person who truly believes he is a loser will not win until that belief is changed, however minutely.

Inferiority complex is just a state of mind.

As near as I can figure it, feelings like that serve the purpose of getting us to try. If we feel overconfident we get cocky, like "Why should I even do this? I know I'd win."

self affliction is the enemy of the self. No one can make you happy or sad but yourself, so when you are good to yourself, no one can take that away.
