He's probably afraid that you will go to bars and meet other guys. It happens quite often. My advice, stay away from bars!

I'd say if you didn't change something would be wrong. Life is full of changes constantly. It may not be a drastic change, you are always going to be you. It is not like you wake up turn 21 and the world has changed, and you are clueless who you are. However, you are growing and learning every day, you are experiencing new things and that brings about change, change in what you do, how you do it, and who you do it with, Your boyfriend is and will be doing his changes, too. To expect things to always be the same is very unrealistic. Don't sweat the small stuff, greet change as it comes, and make the most out of your life. All change is not bad, simply different. The worries of you at 20 are not what the worries of you will be in the days ahead, trust me. And as far as the "fake" that's another story, and totally personal I believe.

i don't think you'll change much. perhaps a little. like someone said earlier, you may be going out now and probably meeting other people. he'll just have to accept that and trust you. you may mentally change a little more. being 21 gives you full adult responsibilities and it isn't always easy. i'm turning 23 at the end of next month and life isn't always that much fun. you'll be older, probably a little more mature than when you and your bf first met but that should be good news, not bad. happy birthday!

Yes, you will change and you will continue to change as you age... When you turn 21 and if you live in the USA then this is bar age, you will experience things and places you have not before and this may change your out look on things a bit. Your personality will probably remain the same, but your thoughts and your beliefs may. You will experiences things through out your life and enter different fazes of change.
Have you ever heard of maiden, mother, crown? Look into it and this will explain some of the changes women will experiences and face....
"There is but one thing you will never change and that is change itself".... Osoh Zen (most things in life are temporary)...

It's only a month away...how much could you change? Maybe he's worried that you'll want to go out to bars alot more or something. Sounds like he's a little insecure about the relationship. Try to ease his mind.

Significant change doesn't happen overnight. It takes time. We change a little bit everyday based on our experiences and daily interactions (nothing drastic). Your boyfriend sounds like he wants to hear you say that you won't change (i.e. will still love him and not leave him in the future). It has nothing to do with you turning 21 or anything like that.

No, you might go and enjoy yourself now your past that weird draconian 21+ drinking age you guys have, but really change? I doubt it. Maybe he's worried you'll meet a better man now your old enough to go out of an evening...

You might turn into a she-wolf at midnight, other than that I don't see anything else that might change and remember NEVER to change for another person, only for yourself...

If you are pretending to be what you are not right now, you will definitely change but if your act is natural, then congratulations!
