does he have a particular reason for wanting to name the baby Jazmine? If he's a Taurus, chances are you won't have an argument when you tell him you don't want the baby named that. He may fake like he's upset a little, but he won;t give you much grief about it. I know- Both my hubby and I are Tauruses. Maybe you could let her middle name be Jazmine if that name holds sentimental value to your boyfriend. Good luck and God bless.

Jazmine is a beautiful name, perhaps that is why it is so popular. There is nothing wrong with giving a child a popular name. If it makes you happier, add a middle name and then if there are two or three children in your child's class with the same name, you can use the initials of your child's name and those will make her name unique to her.

Why can't it just be Jasmine? The z is very strong in Jazmine... like Jazz mine.
Come to an agreement in terms of a name.

Argue all you want. You carry the baby for 9mths and go through labour, that earns the right to choose a name you like too! Pick something you both agree on.
I don't like 'Jazmine' btw

I'd unload him asap. If he likes one more woman and he or she him, WHAT ARE YOU DOING??? Real love does not play video games or have wandering eyes, it is dedicated and tough paintings. You MUST see this as a pink flag, a deal breaker, strike 3. Your younger, i am guessing, you should not also be due to the fact a SERIOUS dating that's going to reason you lack of confidence. Have amusing, do not emerge as overly invested on this, WHAT? you can not flirt? Move on, the writing is at the wall and it spells concern. Do your self a want and reduce the man free, whether it is destined to be, it's going to run it is path and he's going to be again. But why you could take him again best you'll reply.

My son is 4 months old and we had the same exact issue.
I think that you should come up with different names that you like and keep Jasmine in mind.
It might be best to wait until she gets here. For one thing she might or might not look like a Jasmine.
Second once you lay eyes on her, arguing over name really won't even be an issue.
Congrats to you and enjoy your little one!

Both parents need to agree on a name. For my first, I insisted on a particular middle name, so I let my husband choose the first name (but I had mentioned one he really liked so I won on both counts!) For my second, I chose the first name and we gave her my MIL's middle name for her middle name.
Neither parent has the "right" to name the child whatever they want - if you want to be successful parents, you need to both learn how to respect the input of the other.
And FWIW, I agree with you. I've never liked "kr8tiv" spellings like Jazmin.

I too think Jazmine is overdone, compromise and use it as a middle name.

Grab a good baby name book and sit down together. If you can't come to a decision, labor is a great time to bring the point back up. That's how I got to name my son, he would have given in to anything at that point!
