I haven't felt a sense of true happiness in a long time but I hope my life improves some day.whenever I start thinking about that I get a sense of guilt. I know a few people who have it extremely tough and of course with the lack of money you can never escape certain things. even if you pray. because we all have different problems and different characters. so,back to my question. if you ever read the Bible, there is this passage in it where Jesus talks to a young man who is (I think) well off and good at heart but unhappy. And Jesus tells him to give all of his money, everything that he has to the poor. not just some of it but all. and the man walks away in sadness. isn't that the point really.
i find something so phony about being the good guy and not really doing the best you could; just look at all the celebrities, if they love their friends in the third world so much, why don't they stay with them. if they did this privately i wouldnt mind. but they all just boast about it.

Something you hinted at, but I'm not entirely sure how relevant it is: if you're feeling really bad for more than a month or two, you should see a doctor for symptoms of depression. One of the REALLY common traits I've heard from LOTS of people is that they feel awful, but they realize that they don't have things that bad and they get guilty about feeling awful, which (due to the cyclical nature of depression) makes them feel more awful. The summary is: if you're feeling out of sorts for more than 2 months, get help.

It is all about clamour and stunts. What about Diana she would walk around at night when no camera followed her and still help people and care for them.It is happiness that should be in your life at the end of the day,not fame or fortune.

Celebrities most get paid for their associations with charities.
With most of them, not all but most, it is all about the money.
I do not agree with Paul Newman's politics but he is one that I admire because he puts his money where his heart is. There are a few but they are very far between.

Celebrities are just that...celebrities...
They crave the lime light...
And will do just about "anything" to keep thier name in it, so that they will get adulations from the crowds...

To me, they are just another person with a different job than I had before I retired. They are just a person and nothing more...

The person who gets thier reward "here" by adultation of the crowds and masses, will not get it in Heaven. We are to keep our "works" secret from anyone, so that the LORD will give us our rewards...

Anyone that shallow, to use a child for fame, is something "special", and needs the adulation of a child to keep them feeling special in front of the masses...

Sure, its good to adopt a child, out of poverty, and love and care for him/her, but, dont make it a publicity stunt...sheesh!

I wish you well...

Jesse
