Well, you could go with the Kawasaki Ninja 250R. That's a great beginner bike, and it's a sport bike, so you're going to look cool, go fast, and have fun!

Honda Rebel sounds like what you're after.
Although, a 250 isn't a very big engine these days

Honda Rebel Engine will last forever, easy to get on & off. Looks COOL, like a chopper.

The best bike for the dollar. It redlines at 14,600 rpm. tops out at 16k.
