For Witnesses , I'm trying to not celebrate Halloween or any of the other pagan holidays, but it is hard for me because I usually celebrate it until now.

Should I gradually stop celebrating it, by doing a few less things each year, or should I just immediately quit?

When I mean Witnesses, I mean Jehovah's Witnesses. I don't care if I like it, I want to follorw their beliefs.
Thank you

Jehovah's Witnesses are tireless preachers, and they do teach from the bible rather than from traditions or philosophy. A true Christian cares less what humans say and more what Jehovah God says on any matter. What does God's Word say on this matter?

(2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1) For what fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have? Or what sharing does light have with darkness? 15 Further, what harmony is there between Christ and Be´li·al? Or what portion does a faithful person have with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement does God’s temple have with idols? For we are a temple of a living God; just as God said: “I shall reside among them and walk among [them], and I shall be their God, and they will be my people.” 17 “‘Therefore get out from among them, and separate yourselves,’ says Jehovah, ‘and quit touching the unclean thing’”; “‘and I will take YOU in.’” 18 “‘And I shall be a father to YOU, and YOU will be sons and daughters to me,’ says Jehovah the Almighty.” 7 Therefore, since we have these promises, beloved ones, let us cleanse ourselves of every defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in God’s fear.

Consider an analogy: if you learned that a certain dish at a banquet had been contaminated, would you say:
"Well I'll just eat until I'm full, and then I'll throw the leftover away"

If you know it's the truth, and wish to follow the teachings of the Bible, then would there be any reason *not* to discontinue the celebrating of holidays immediately?
Please look up Luke 16:10, it may help shed a little more light on this matter. Take care!

I'm not sure what you mean "for witnesses." If you're not out of the broom closet, you can always celebrate in the privacy of your home.

Many Christian holidays were derived from Pagan holidays. Take Christmas for example. The church couldn't get the Pagans to give up celebrating their Yule traditions, so the church adopted them instead. The Christmas tree, Pagan. The birth of the Son, sounds just like the re-birth of the Sun!

Do what makes you most comfortable. You have to be true to yourself.

2nd Cor chapter 6 says to stop touching the unclean thing and God will take you in.

With any bad habit, it is best to stop cold.

You may have relapses but trying to reduce the habit a little at a time, only prolongs the suffering and the temptation.

Any bad habit can be conquered not by our strength, but with the aid of the one who created the heavens and the earth.
