Yep! The only problem with belly sleeping later on is it's like sleeping on a beach ball ;) The baby is well-cushioned, don't worry.

(But always consult a doctor with questions like these - I don't know of any medical conditions that could cause a problem, but that doesn't mean there aren't any - but in a "normal" pregnancy, it shouldn't hurt)

My OB told me I could sleep on my stomach as long as I was comfortable, which didn't last long. I think by the end of my first trimester I was done. Also, according to my chiropractor, sleeping on your stomach is the worst thing you can do for your back. Most women experience back pain with pregnancy, so the sooner you can get out of the habit of sleeping on your stomach, the better. Best of luck for a healthy pregnancy & baby!

As long as you are comfortable, it's fine. The baby is protected. Later on, you may want to favor your left side (think heart). When I was huge (for 3 summer pregnancies) I dug a hole in the sand at the beach so I could lie on my stomach - just for a little bit!

Yes, until it gets to uncomfortable for you. The best position to sleep in for the baby is on your left side... I started this around 17-18 weeks when I started to show. If you start this sleep position early it will help when you actually "have to" sleep on your side due to your size.

You can sleep on your tummy for as long as you are able to. Obviously as your bump gets bigger it gets uncomfortable.

There is no reason to only sleep on your left side either!!!

I think that it is ok at the beginning of your pregnancy however, as you start to get bigger it will not feel as comfortable. My suggestion to you is to not sleep on your stomach after the first trimester... Good Luck...

Yes it's fine until around 16 weeks then you should sleep on your left side.

Yeah, I slept on my tummy until it was physically impossible to do so! it was the most annoying thing ever not to be able to do whilst heavily pregnant, so make the most of it, as when u can't, you wake up every time you have to HEAVE yourself over in bed lol,

I don't have an answer, but I'm glad you asked. Good Question- I'm a tummy sleeper and this is really hard for me! I'm currently 10 weeks.
