Is there a certain age or just go til you don't feel like going anymore?

My daughters are 1 and 3. When they are 10 and 12 I think I'll stop taking them. By that age, they're getting more into school parties and stuff than they are trick-or-treating-or at least they should be. I find that a lot of older trick or treaters are rude and seem to expect more candy than the younger ones. It makes you wonder where their parents were when they were learning MANNERS. And, for the record, I HAVE told people they're too old to be trick or treating. My husband once told a group of teenage boys he'd give them their candy IF they'd rake the yard.. they walked away cussing under their breath...

I think Halloween is a fun time and if you want to get dressed up and go out for trick or treating, what is the harm? I last trick or treated when I was 28, LOL
